Those characters on your befriend list may get your corpse, and remove items from it. Those not on your befriend list may not loot or move your corpse. *Be careful whom you befriend.* Typing befriend without any arguments displays a list of characters whom you have befriended, and typing befriend where is a character on your list removes that character's 'friend' status.
