Description: Thieves spend many long hours performing arduous tasks such as looting chests, picking pockets, and stabbing stuff. At the end of a hard day, the last thing a thief wants to do is trudge down to the local completely legitimate purveyor of not-stolen goods and swap his extremely heavy bag of low denomination currency for something more easily fit into a pocket. Thus, some enterprising rascal hit upon a technique of converting lower value coins into higher value coins. The process is a closely guarded secret, steeped in lore, and seems to involve some level of magic. Mages who ask too many questions about how it works tend to end up an unhealthy shade of dead. The conversion is not perfect, but as the thief gets more skilled, the conversion rate improves considerably.
